| Finals…to Career
So here I am, at the end of another year of my career in education. I have made it yet again. I have survived instructors, professors, classmates and exams. Cramming for finals just won't cut it with some of these classes. The course descriptions should be changed to vary from Difficult with a warning sign to Easy with a peace sign. And the book store should have a sign saying "Anxiety Causing Material Purchased Here" for selling class materials.
Honestly, the trick to it is...just breath! Stay up on everything, not stay up the night before. Keep a schedule of events for you class, not a schedule of parties with friends. Flirt with your teachers, not just your hot classmates. And get a list of contacts for study sessions with smart classmates, not just sharing your digits with the hottie in front of you. Don't neglect your education; this should be your career. Now is the time to enhance your well being and make that resume look good. Not having a beer belly and a mile long list of fast food chains for references and experience.
Come on people, work with me. Oh, no. Wait! You will be working with me. Personally I want someone who will watch my back, although it probably wouldn't be too difficult to score more points than an under qualified applicant. And let's just say that those who only have "Excellent party planning" as Skills, and "Feung Shi for Passed out drunks " as the book you are the claiming author to, well, that just won't make the cut.
So what do you say? Is it time to grow up and be just like mommy and daddy taught me to always be? Maybe, but not quite yet. Let your hair down, be irresponsible, and wear that loose baggy clothing, but remember to brace your self when it comes to making the grade, passing a class on the "third times a charm" ethics, and wanting to never hear again, "You're Fired!" Trump isn't the only one who knows that line. Good luck with everything.

| I'm a helper, I'm a giver
I want to serve.
I want to fix, to heal.
I want this to be over.
I want to make things better.
I want to help.
I don't want to be in the way.
If you need me I want to be there.
When you want me, I will be ready.
Just tell me, how can I help.
What can I do? |
